Those ole' dogs are history....

Mayday joins his family in Puppy Heaven July 13, 2011 Mayday Von Duzzit, 14 1/2, died this afternoon after just growing old and giving up the chase. He lost his ability to even lay down, yet even get back up and obviously knew his time had come because he quit eating even his favorite rotisserie chicken. He just got tired of being force fed all that week. He was kept hydrated all afternoon with a syringe and cold bowl of water. Mayday and his faithful human sat on the lawn for four hours the evening before watching the rainbow and a thunderstorm charge down the valley announcing his invitation to follow it into the sky forever. Mayday was the first born son of Buzzy and Cubby Von Duzzit of Moose Country, where he and his family were raised to be the best puppies on Earth. Mayday flew home in the co-bobter chopper and made his last landing at Moose Country at 3:33 PM and was buried up by the fence over looking the lake. Calico passed away April 14, 2010 Calico died about 11am, quietly without a complaint at home. His last drink of water was taken with his head and shoulders held up because he was too weak to even get his head off his blanket. After a nice cold drink, he smiled, sighed, laid over and sank away. Dr. Nancy arrived to check on him and said a prayer for the puppie she cared for since birth. Cubby passed away November 17, 2009 We were all very sad. She was a very good dog. Joey buried her in the yard and this year planted a weeping cherry tree over her.

Cubby met Buzzy and had Puppies!

The best family ever! The puppies had a rough birth and the two girls died in just a few days. Mayday, Calico and Tombstone made it through by 24 x 7 bottle feeding and warming between hot water bottles until strong enough to survive with Mom and on their own. Tombstone was the first brother to pass away, then Calico and then the oldest, Mayday. They all were hard workers. They all skijored and pulled the swedo cart and became great lead dogs along with their dad, Buzzy Von Duzzit. Just as the internet became big, they followed their human to MontanaSky Net at the Kalispell Center Mall and later at the new internet office up on the road to Brenden House, the ER and their favorite: the Alert Helicopter pad because they loved them big birds. People were very surprised to see four or five Wolf-Shepard hybrids anywhere, much less right in the middle of a shopping mall. They made thousands of friends. Tombstone went to live Andy and Karen in Missoula and became their little boy's best friend. Calico and Mayday became more and more helicopter dogs and always looked for the Big Birds in the sky and were happy to see them fly over. The Von Duzzit Family of Montana Native Dogs lived very good lives.
